Russian Jews and the World War I

Artshows

The Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre presented the exhibition ‘Jews of Russia and the First World War’, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the start of one of the most widespread conflicts in history.

The material was gathered from museum collections of Israel and Russia, and consisted of photographs, posters, books and magazines and footage.

The artifacts were presented in chronological order, and reflected the complex and tragic fate of Judaism in Russia from 1914 to the start of the revolution in 1917.
