For two months the Moscow Museum of Modern Art on Gogolevsky Boulevard was taken over by the St. Petersburg art group «Nepokorennye». The enfilade of the 19th century building in which the museum is located was divided between twenty four participants.
Subtle colours and sculptural details differentiate each room.
Ornamental geometry, created by the layering and subtraction of repetitive rectilinear elements, performs in various ways throughout the exhibition, framing the artworks and signifying the threshold between each space.
The visual continuum of the enfilade reflects the mutual influence of artists on each other’s process.
