Fabio Viale, a young sculptor from Turin, began his international career about six years ago, quickly becoming one of the most original sculptors in Europe. Viale emphasizes that he works specifically with Carrara marble.
The Garage Center for Contemporary Culture presented ten works by Viale. The sculptures were displayed in shipping containers placed in front of the Garage.
4 containers were used for the exhibition. The containers formed a single composition, and were individually transformed to display particular sculptures.
The famous marble boat sculpture ‘Ahgalla’ weighing over 400 kg was placed in a specially built pool in the central hall of the ‘Garage’.
