Fio Condutor exhibition brings together more than 30 women artists and designers at São Paulo gallery Apartamento 61
Apartamento 61 gallery opens the doors of its modernist residence for an entirely female art and design exhibition. Titled ‘Fio Condutor’ (Guiding Thread) and curated by photographer Ruy Teixeira and art editor and journalist Marina Dias Teixeira the exhibition presents a collection of furniture pieces designed by modern and contemporary designers alongside works of art by artists from different generations.
We are exhibiting our chest of drawers from ‘Emma’ series, beloved both by our clients and design galleries.
In the words of exhibition’s curators, “The energy that flows through the connecting thread that links these creators – whether of paintings, sculptures or furniture – celebrates their trajectories in their infinite possibilities. The result is an imagined home where the feminine is not relegated to the home by roles determined by patriarchal society, but is the constructive engine behind each material and poetic element of a domestic dialogue between creations from the fields of art and design.”
The project is part of the parallel program of SP-Arte fair. The exhibition is on from March 31 to April 25.
